Second Saturday Programs for Adults run throughout the year, generally on the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM, excluding December and January and major holidays. These educational and/or entertaining programs are generously funded by The Friends of the Free Library of Northampton Township. Registration is always required.

This diverse programming runs throughout the year and includes topics that address the five literacies outlined by the Pennsylvania Library Association’s PA Forward program to fuel educational and economic opportunity for all of our citizens.
These five literacies include: Basic, Civic and Social, Financial, Health, and Information literacies. Programs include topics like Medicare, estate planning, health and wellness, book clubs, local history, art, and popular culture.
The library’s extensive programming has earned the library its status as a PA Forward Gold Star Library since 2017.
Registration is required for most events and will be noted in the program description.

What is creativebug? It is a library resource that provides patrons access to thousands of art and craft video classes. The library began offering in-person classes in 2025 to spark creativity and imagination.
Free Library of Northampton Township regularly offers craft programs. Past programs have included pickling, paper marbling, seed bombs, and miniature bookshelf decorating.
