Wayne Lahr, Director
Wayne joined the library team as the Director in January, 2022.
Wayne enjoys traveling with his wife, biking the back roads of Bucks County and as many Rail Trails as he can; hiking in PA’s great State Parks; and spending time with their two cats, Annie and Ginger.
A few of his favorite authors include Robert Ludlum, Nelson DeMille, Stephen King, Hampton Sides, H.W. Brands, and Stephen Ambrose.
Amy, Asst. Director & Reference Librarian
As a graduate of Bucks County Community College, Temple University, and Drexel University, Amy has spent most of her life in libraries, starting as a Library Page when she was 16. Working at Free Library of Northampton Township since 1996, Amy feels a special attachment to many of its patrons.
You can often find Amy at the Reference Desk answering patron questions. She orders nonfiction for the collection, mostly, history, the arts and literature. She also enjoys crunching the library’s statistics. Fascinated by the picture these numbers portray of our library, she has seen how the library has grown and changed throughout the years.
Amy mostly reads nonfiction (history and Shakespeare) and adds some fiction with her fantastic Thursday Afternoon Book Group! Always having had a dog around, she loves spending time with her current canine, a lively terrier named Roz.

Michelle, Youth Services Librarian
Michelle has been a member of the library team and leader of our Youth Services department since the Fall of 2022.
She can be found in the Children’s Area or at the Reference Desk helping patrons of all ages find books that they love. Michelle enjoys creating joyful library experiences for patrons of all ages, and her favorite part of being a librarian is hearing what you think about the book you are currently reading.
When not exploring a new picture book or manga series, Michelle’s favorite genres are science fiction, fantasy, and mystery, and her current favorite authors are Robert Jackson Bennett, Mick Herron, Mur Lafferty, and Adrian Tchaikovsky.
Kathleen, Reference Librarian
Kathleen has worked in libraries for 15 years and has been a Reference Librarian at Free Library of Northampton Township since 2023.
She has a passion for teaching and learning technology and e-resources. She loves all things music and cats and has four purr-fect felines at home.
Her favorite books to read are mystery, suspense, and psychological thrillers from authors such as Freida McFadden, Shari Lapena, and Mary Kubica.

Kristi, Reference Librarian & Township Archivist
Kristi joined the library team in 2023.
She can be found helping visitors at the Reference Desk, in the stacks amongst the books, hosting an Adult program, or in the Northampton Township Archives.
She enjoys music, reading, traveling, cooking and baking, antiquing, and spending time with friends, family, and her rescue pup Maci.
Her favorite genres include history, historical fiction, and mystery; some of her favorite authors include Jane Austen, Martha Hall Kelly, Eric Larson, Kim Michelle Richardson, Kate Summerscale, and Edward Rutherford.

Susan, Reference Librarian
Susan has been a part of the team for 10 years and has been a resident of Northampton Township for more than 15 years.
She loves to use her engineering background to teach computer classes, provide Book A Librarian technical help and create STEM/coding classes for kids. She is also excited to be the Young Adult Librarian responsible for teen programs and volunteering. Have a teen interested in volunteering at the library – please ask her for more information!
When not at the library, Susan loves to read and spend time with her family.

Marie, Reference Librarian
Marie joined the library team as a Reference Librarian in 2023.
She has created many of the posters you see around the library and helps select our new Adult Fiction titles. Marie enjoys reading (duh), snacks, drinking too much coffee, and spending time with her husband, 2 little boys and 2 cute (but slightly unhinged) dogs.
A few of her favorite genres to read are contemporary romance, memoir, and magical realism; some of her favorite authors are Julia Whelan, Rebecca Serle and Abby Jimenez.
Denise, Circulation Manager
Denise joined the library team in 2016 and has taken on a new role as Manager beginning 2026.
She enjoys hiking anywhere there is a view, being creative with her photography, playing Pickleball whenever she can, reading to relax, and traveling with her husband. Their 2 sons have grown and flown.

Megan, Circulation Staff
Megan has been part of the Circulation team since 2013 and truly loves the library atmosphere.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids especially watching their team sports over the years, spending time at the shore, walking, and, of course, reading.
Some of her favorite authors and books include Kristin Hannah, Kelly Rimmer, Abby Jimenez, The Nightingale, and The Storyteller’s Secret.

Martha, Circulation Staff
Martha became part of our library team in 2009. She enjoys providing friendly service at circulation desk.
Martha likes to read the stories of Nicholas Sparks. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, sewing, and listening to music.

Jean, Circulation Staff
Jean joined the library staff in 2013 with a lifelong love of books and reading. She especially enjoys reading children’s books and studied writing for children in college.
Her favorite author is Roald Dahl but she also loves to read ghost stories, thrillers, and humor. She loves to bake, garden, walk her dog, play games with her two sons, and watch Jeopardy! with her husband.

Lori, Circulation Staff
Lori has been a member of the library team for more than 25 years, initially working the front desk and, in 2007, becoming Circulation Manager through 2025. She continues her time on our team in a different role in 2026.
Autumn and winter are her favorite seasons of the year. Lori’s favorite activities include long walks on chilly days, cooking, painting, researching her family history, reading, and writing – with a fire blazing in the fireplace! She loves time spent with her grown children and hopes to spend her eventual retirement writing a memoir and traveling.
Historical Fiction, Literary Fiction, and Non-Fiction exploring American and Women’s History are her favorite genres to read. Her favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and she loves getting lost in a long Stephen King novel!

Donna, Circulation Staff
Donna joined the library team in 1983 as a volunteer, and she’s been thrilled to be here all these years. After 40 years of teaching school in Philadelphia, she feels very fortunate to have been hired at the library in her part-time role.
She spends a great deal of time reading when not in the library (of course!) and she loves walking the trails of Bucks County with her husband and spending time with her four grandchildren. The library is her happy place!

Denise, Circulation Staff
Denise joined the library team in the summer of 2016.
When she’s not working, Denise enjoys baking, crafting and reading, of course! She likes getting book recommendations from Reese’s Book Club, her co-workers, and library patrons.

Shelly, Circulation Staff
Shelly joined our library team in 2023. She loves connecting people with great books at the library.
When Shelly’s not working at the library, she also works in event floral design. She finds inspiration in her favorite writers: Barbara Kingsolver, E.B. White, and Nora Ephron.

Sarah, Circulation Staff
Sarah joined our team in December, 2024.
An everyday reader who likes to run 5k races and walk her dog, her favorite season is Fall but enjoys the winter season when there is enough snow to ski and make hot chocolate. Sarah loves to learn about art, writing, and history.

Dennis, Custodian
Dennis joined the library team as our custodian in early 2017. He loves working at the library because everyone is so nice.
Prior to coming to the library, Dennis worked in the heavy Construction field, specifically reinforced concrete construction. He worked to build the Comcast building in Philadelphia as well as the Wells Fargo Center and the National Constitution Center.
When he’s not at work, Dennis loves to spend time with his wife and their 4 cats around the swimming pool at home.
